Computer games consoles are electronic consoles designed to play exciting video games. There are few children or indeed adults that are without at least one of these games consoles.

Games consoles often have their own built in screen, but more commonly are used in conjuntion with a tv or monitor.

Two of the most popular purchases on the internet are the Sony Playstation 2 and the Xbox 360. Other consoles include Gamecube from Nintendo, and Sega's Dreamcast.

The next generation of these machines are the Playstation 3, released in 2006, and Revolution again from Nintendo, which was released in November 2006.
